Hi there! We're Emma & Jamie, co-founders of paleyobakery. Our products are created from a love of real, healthy, good food and through a love of co-creation. We're a dynamic, fun and food-loving duo, partners in love and life. More than just hubby and wife, we're loving parents, compassionate educators and social entrepreneurs.
Our journey into the Paleo diet began for us when I (Emma) was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2012 when we were just dating. Armed with hope and hopelessly in love, I began a gluten-free diet to manage my condition naturally. I started following the Autoimmune Protocol Paleo diet after our daughter was born three years ago. I had to cut out practically EVERYTHING! No nuts, no gluten, no wheat, no dairy, no legumes. My diet was Paleo stripped down to the bones... literally!
Thank goodness Jamie's a super talented culinary artist with a knack for stirring things up. Whenever I get a craving for something, Jamie jumps at the chance to creatively whip up a Paleo version of any treat. Let's just say I'm an excellent taste-tester, collaborator, and food critic. Through our kitchen alchemy, we've developed recipes and products like our signature Yowaffles.
We met in a kitchen at a small farm commune in Texas (long story). It was love at first stir. We tended a 3.5 acre farm together and harvested organic fruits and vegetables to create simple, nutritious meals. Here we are 5 years later, sharing our food story with you. We were a new couple when we started cooking healthy meals together and growing our own food and we're coming up with new ideas every day. Here at paleyobakery we give others a taste of simple good-for-you food.
